I'm installing Ubuntu 13.04 onto my 32-bit Intel Core 2 Duo CPU, from a live-usb. One of the screens says "Installation type", with the three options "Install Ubuntu alongside Windows Vista" or "Replace Windows Vista with Ubuntu" or "Something else". No matter which of those three options I highlight, the "Continue" button is always grayed out and un-selectable. (I can only select "Quit" or "Back".) (When I highlight the second option, the word "Continue" switches to "Install Now" on the button ... but it is still grayed out and unselectable.)
Other than the fact that I cannot "continue", the installer offers no information about what's going wrong. Any ideas? Thanks in advance!! [I am also happy to hear advice about how exactly I can file a bug report about this.]

I also had this problem installing Kubuntu 16.10 in VirtualBox. Unlike shao.lo, for me dynamic vs. fixed .vdi didn't matter. For me the problem was that the virtual disk was too small, but the installer doesn't give any useful error report about this. There is an icon on the screen indicating the issue, but it's so abstracted as to be meaningless: it looks like a trashcan with a line through it, with no accompanying explanation. (If the disk is adequate it will be a checkbox.) I created a new VDI of appropriate size (>8.6GB, apparently) and it worked.
I had this problem trying to install Kubuntu 16.10 in VirtualBox. Initially I had chosen a dynamic vdi disk. The install would get to the second page of the install where "Install Updates as part of install" is. No matter what I did the Continue button would always be greyed out.
I had the same problem during install kubuntu 16.04.2 LTS. The problem was the size of the dynamic vdi disk. The default size of 8 GByte was not enough. After setting it to 256 GByte the installation was possible.
Using Lubuntu 16.04.3, I ran into a similar problem (Continue button also grayed out). In my case I was able to "enable" that button, performing the steps below, for which this answer inspired me, and which includes:
Same problem here, trying to install lubuntu 17.04 in my old Aspire One and that problem happen every time. Reading about the problem i found a question about the ACPI, so a decide to turn it off, but Lubuntu doents have the menu options to choose the grub parameters, then to change the boot options of the lubuntu you have to edit the file \boot\grub\loopback.cfg on the pendrive, and add the parameter "acpi=off", near the "boot=casper" i think its a good place.
I've reached the installation screen on my netbook and have ticked all the screens (download updates etc). The requisite memory is ticked and the internet access is ticked but I can't find a "Install" or "go" button to continue. How do I access the lower part of the small screen?
I think I had a similar issue, "continue" button was grayed out in the installer on the "installation type" screen. The steps I used were:* Boot from USB drive with 15.10 beta 2* Click through the install, get to installation type (erase full disk / install alongside question). No popups / unusual questions so far.* "Continue" button is disabled regardless of option chosen

This device I'm using has an AMD GPU and uses the open-source "amdgpu" driver. I'll leave this unchecked considering I can install the codecs as necessary by myself. Do what you prefer and hit the "Continue" button.
The bug here is not whether or not that box is checked, but with the fact that it's honored in any way when you haven't selected "install third-party software". It should be a no-op until third-party software is checked; it should not cause the 'Continue' button to be greyed out, and it should not trigger an actual attempt to disable secureboot.

After booting a Kubuntu install of Vivid and then running sudo oem-config in the environment after entering "User Info" I still a Back and Continue button. I was able to click the Continue button and it seems to have caused the process to exit.
The use of JavaScript on your Firefox browser is virtually crucial because it enables the best use of modern websites such as Gmail, Facebook, YouTube, and more. If you have JavaScript disabled, most of what makes these websites work won't load in your Firefox browser. Some web page features such as buttons that change when they're clicked or images with zoom capabilities may not work properly while others may not work at all.
You might need to choose the Run button (or the equivalent button depending on the browser you're using) at the bottom of your screen to start the install. See Download and install or reinstall Office for step-by-step help.
On amd64 and arm64 systems, multiple disks can be selected as boot devices, which means a system can be configured so that it will continue to boot after a failure of any one drive (assuming the root filesystem is placed on a RAID). The bootloader will be installed to each of these drives, and the operating system configured to install new versions of GRUB to each drive as it is updated.
Note: If you don't see the javascript.enabled setting in bold, saying false with the reset button in the right-hand column the you probably haven't actually disabled JavaScript! You might have some kind of browser extension/addon which is blocking JavaScript instead. Try disabling it to cause JavaScript to work again.
When you install Ubuntu Linux (and probably other versions of Linux that use a similar GUI installer) from the downloaded .iso file, part of the installer window is hidden beyond the edge of the virtual machine display. You cannot see some of the installer interface, including critical "OK" or "Continue" buttons. Enlarging the virtual machine display window doesn't help, because everything gets larger, but the hidden part of the installer remains hidden.
I appear to be missing something basic here. When I try to install Ubuntu 16.04 LTS with Fusion 8.1.1 I don't get either an "Install Ubuntu" button or a "Try Ubuntu" button. After choosing a password and being offered a change to adjust the settings, I get a "Finish" button, and clicking this runs the installer. My installation method is "Install from disc or image". Is there some other method I should use? Thanks for any help.
If you see a purple message at the top about GNOME Shell integration, click the link to install the Firefox browser extension, then click the blue "Continue to Installation" button, and finally the blue "Add" button.
Today, when I was using Teamviewer, I entered my ID, but the connect button was grayed out, so I couldn't connect for remote control. I've tried restarting the computer and reinstalling, but it's still not working...
The Plugins overview page in Administration > Site Administration > Plugins > Plugins overview lists all installed plugins, together with the version number, release, availability (enabled or disabled) and settings link (if applicable).
A 'Check for available updates' button enables admins to quickly check for any updates available for plugins installed on the site (from the plugins directory). Any updates available are highlighted, with further information and a download link in the notes column opposite the plugin.
Before, we begin with the installation process, we need to download ISO file for Ubuntu. For that, all the versions of Ubuntu are available on the official site ubuntu.com After the downloading is over, you can install Ubuntu on VirtualBox with the help of following instructions:
On the Launcher choose Install Ubuntu, and the installer utility will start. Choose the keyboard layout you wish to perform the installation and click on the Continue button to proceed further.
You can review an installed extension's status by clicking the extensions are disabled or have limited functionality link in the Workspace Trust editor, which displays the Extensions view scoped with the @workspaceUnsupported filter.
If you try to install an extension in Restricted Mode, you will be prompted to either trust the workspace or just install the extension. If the extension doesn't support Workspace Trust, it will be installed, but be disabled or running with limited functionality. 2ff7e9595c
