Meanwhile, as noted by PhoneDog commenter Christian Whitlock, regional carrier Alltel Wireless has announced that its version of the Galaxy S II can now be updated to Jelly Bean as well. This is even more of a major update than it is for Sprint, Boost and Virgin users, though, as it bumps up Alltel's Galaxy S II from Android 2.3.6 Gingerbread to Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean, skipping Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich entirely. Just as with the other Galaxy S II Jelly Bean updates, Alltel customers will need to download the update to their computer and install it onto their phone using Samsung software. There's one more Galaxy S II update that's now going out to owners of the AT&T model (the I777 variant, not the Skyrocket), but unfortunately for them, this one doesn't include any jelly beans. AT&T recently announced on its Galaxy S II support page that a small maintenance update is now rolling out over the air to its Galaxy S II. The 6.6MB update includes fix for a bug that'd cause the S II to become unresponsive or power down while sitting idle. There's also a security enhancement packed in, which AT&T explains will protect the S II against a malware vulnerability. To grab the update, AT&T Galaxy S II owners must first be running Android 4.0, and then head into Menu > Settings > About device > Software update > Check for updates.
Battery drains too fast since I updated to jellybean. Other bugs too. 100% charged, unplug it battery drops down to around 95%. Lock screen flashes too bright when I press button to unlock, press again and it dims down. Very annoying! These would be bugs, right???

Hello guysI have galaxy s2 GT-i9100 international version it was runing on gingerbread 2.3.5 for a year or so but about two weeks ago I upgraded to ics 4.0.4 since then it heats up too fast around the the camera at the top of screen I tried many things but didnt work I then upgraded to jellybean 4.1.2 and also with no luck I tried custom ROMs like omega and wanam but nothing changed but when I tried the KH3 modem it fixed the heating problem but the battery drain is the same it drains fast and some times it says 100 and when I remove charger it goes to 90 or 92 so I plug it again and it recharger from that number or when I reboot it goes for example from 60 to 10I want to know what to do and is my battery dead ??
